I am a young, Work At Home Mum (WAHM), juggling the demands of looking after my 2 year old son and setting up a new business.

Inspired by the prospect of becoming a parent for the first time, I started researching ways in which to give my child the best start in life that I could afford. My research lead me to the world of breastfeeding, cloth nappies, natural mattresses, organic food, fabrics and face creams, and I haven’t looked back since!

In the year since my son has been born, I have been focusing on bringing to Ireland many of the innovative, natural products that I sourced from other countries for my own son, through my e-commerce store ecobrats.ie. I believe that giving your child the best start in life should not be a luxury but something everyone can afford.

All of the products that we sell have been tried, tested and hand-selected. As well as sourcing items that babies and parents alike will love, we are conscious of where our products have come from. It would be unethical for us to equip families in Ireland with the tools to give their children the best start in life at the expense of the people making our products, who are trying to provide the same for their own families.

We continue to apply the same principles to our business as we do to our personal lives, minimising our impact on the environment and positively contributing to society. This blog has been set up to share our experiences (and the experiences of others) in order to inform, educate and support other parents interested in giving their children the best start in life possible.
